Coming Home

They are planning to discharge Jim sometime this afternoon. He is on a two-week prescription of meds for the condition and they will continue to monitor him.

I asked what caused it and if it could happen again, and they don't know. It seems that most 30 year-old lean runners do not typically have pericarditis. :) So, hopefully, this was a one time anomaly instead of a chronic problem.

Thanks again for praying for Jim and our family. We will update when we get him home and settled if we know more.

Glad for the positive prognosis. One scare like this is enough for a while. Hope the kids enjoyed their stay with the grandparents!

Hi Ya'll! Wow! We are glad to see Jim is home and doing OK. I learned over the past 2 years with all the surgeries and infection that we never know ahead of time the plan God has for us! There are a lot of things to think about but nothing to worry about. Besides if we know how to worry we know how to meditate which is what God wants us to do. We are praying for you. These are the times you will remember on down the road. This is when our faith grows. God is building monuments that you will polish after it is over. Think back to other challenging times where God has proved his faithfulness. These are the monuments in our life we remember and polish like precious jewelry. We don't count the normal times as special like we do times like this. Isn't that what God told the Israelites to do with their history. We love you all and hope to see you soon. Nice van. T.V. ? Cool! Do you like Palin?! Yee Ha! I'm reading a book right now by John Piper you'll like called Desiring God. Awesome!
