How soon they learn to contradict everything you say! What a sweetie! She'll be saying more soon.

So cute!

Why is it that they just won't perform on cue?

HAHA so cute!!! My son is doing the same things...but I don't think he says "Mama" on purpose yet, I think he's just babbling.

Jaena,

Does your friend Char Derby have a blog? I went to her profile, but she doesn't have a link to her blog there.
She left me comments and I'd like to go to her blog, but can't GET there.

:-)

Jaena said...

Yes, Char is Jim's aunt, and you can now only get to her blog if you know the address: no links (some type of safety thing, I think). I will email it to you if you give me your email address. :)

Ok now I'm intrigued and I wanna see Char's blog!!!

Okay, since I can assume you guys and gals aren't terrorists or persons of ill intent, you can e-mail me at charderby@att.net and I'll send you instructions for viewing the blog. You have to enter the address in the location bar on your browser. It's a security measure. It all comes from being married to a manager of information services who deals with viruses and spam on a daily basis.

Just to warn you, my girls said Dada first, and you see whose side they are on now.

I love the you tube feature - you're so smart. Since I haven't seen Madelyn much lately, it doesn't seem like she should be doing these things yet.

Jaena,

I put one of those site meters on my blog, but it doesn't show the number of visits right there like yours does. (I wish it did)

HOWEVER - - - - when I go to the site that keeps track of everything, WOW can I learn a lot!!! Like who in the world in Plano Texas has been looking at my blog!!! Too strange.

Okay Miss Etiquette,

You know I'm going to be calling about how to do a clip like that on my blog. Just thought I'd warn you. I'll try not to make the call too late. :)

I had to delete my comment because I can't splel.

NEWSFLASH

I went to Starbucks today to try one of those famous lemon bars. The employee told me that the company is going with a different line of pastries and lemon bars might be one of the discontinued items..

Keetha Broyles said...

Anon - - - - that is HORRIBLE news.

Are you pulling our legs????

Anon said...

Funny Lady, when it comes to lemon bars, I don't mess around. That is what she told me. I specifically asked her if it was just the Marion store or the company and she told me the company is going with a new line of pastries. I told her that I had been by several times in the last few weeks to try one and that's when she broke the news to me. She also added that she doesn't know what's being shipped in, but lemon bars have not been delivered with any of the new pastries as well as some of the other items that had previously been sold.

I can tell you that you can get a Krusteaz box mix at the store for lemon bars and they are to die for. You're talking to a person who isn't an advocate of "box" food too. The Krusteaz brand may have to serve as our lemon bar fix now. Time will tell.

Keetha Broyles said...

I never heard of that brand - - - - can I get it at Lance's????????

I have a whole story about the lemon bar thing - - - - - I drove up, ordered one, drove around to the window - - - -PAID for one, and then they told me they were OUT. I knew (very well) the girl working at the window, and since she didn't know how to REFUND my money, she promised she'd bring me the lemon bar when they came in.

I think I picked the wrong day. I may never taste that lemon bar again.

:-(

So - - - - who's gonna make these lemon bars and invite us all over to enjoy them??????????????

Keetha Broyles said...

Or better yet - - - - - lets make our lemon bars, then meet at STARBUCKS and eat right in front of everyone there.

;-)

Jaena said...

Count me in on that! I am going to go into offical mourning for those things...let's start a petition (all three of us). :(

I belive Krusteaz (pronounced "crusty's" or "crust ease") is a West Coast brand. I can find it here, but I don't know where else it's sold. Ralphs, which is owned by Kroger, carries it.

Char said...

A search on Krusteaz.com says Kroger and Mejier (sp) carry it, but you might have to go to Ft. Wayne to find it.

Funny Lady

.....couldn't tell you if it's at Lance's or not. I'm not allowed to shop, but I know for sure that Meijer and Kroger have it. I would think Walmart carries it too now because Sam's Club use to sell it (in a huge, large count box, of course). Now, they come in 8x8 serving size. Yum, yum. There is also a "mango bar" out now too which is also yum, yum.

Miss Etiquette just ignore all these comments if you're remembering our conversation last night. (I guess I won't be buying any of them any time soon.) :)

Hey, I did it. I didn't even have to call you. You'll have to check out my blog. Mine's not as sneaky as yours is though. :)

I'm getting so high tech now. :)

Thanks for noticing my W.V. Miss Etiquette, but that's not what I was referring to. There's something else. Yes, two things in one week w/out your help. See, miracles still do happen. :) Plus, Funny Lady comes in handy too.

ANOTHER NEWSFLASH

I went to Starbucks again today and I have in my possession a lemon bar. This time I spoke with the employee there who happens to be a personal friend of mine and she had heard the same thing. However, she did tell me that they had 5 new batches get delivered on the truck today, so for now, lemon bars are available. Since there are changing the pastry line, she said that there's no guarantee.

Now, with all that info, I have tried my lemon bar. I enjoy my lemon bar, but I'd take Krusteaz as my first choice. Someone helped with the pronounciation earlier and forgot one little thing: you roll the r.

:)

:)

:)

Is this really a post about Madeleine or the saga of Starbucks lemon bars??????

hahahaha

Keetha Broyles said...

Wow - - - - - what a WEALTH of lemon bar information I found here!!!!!!!!!

Anon, I wonder if YOUR friend at Starbucks was the same friend as MY friend who took my money, didn't know how to refund it, so still OWES me a lemon bar???????

I HOPE so, cause maybe that means she's going to bring me one of that new batch that came in.

I don't shop at either a Kroger or a Meijer - - - - - what to do!!!???

And, I had a little chat with Madelyn, and she said she loves the lemon bars too and hopes we keep right on talking about them on her post.

;-)

Keetha Broyles said...

Girls, what in the WORLD did we do for entertainment after a long hard day BEFORE we made this blog circle???????

I think I was deprived before.

Maybe even depraved too.

Anon said...

Miss Etiquette,
You're going to have to get me instructions on how to view the Derby blog in person. Funny Lady just told me that there's a lemon bar post, so I've got to read about the entire thing.

Have I mentioned that I LOVE lemon bars?

:)

Keetha Broyles said...

Jeana, I know I've ALREADY left you a lot of comments on this post, but I noticed that if you get just ONE MORE COMMENT this post will have 30!!!!

Wooooo Hooooo - - - -happy 30!!

Jaena said...

The sad truth is that I had actually noticed that fact and hoped I would make it to 30...thanks!

Keetha Broyles said...

Hey - - - - I UNDERSTAND completely - - - - we blogaholics need to get our quota of all there is about blogging.

:-)

Don't comments just make you feel loved, accepted, and like you're really GOOD at blogging????

There's one blog I go to frequently, he updates new posts several times a day, and they are interesting. BUT - - - I'm like one of the few people who leave comments, and he's only responded to ONE of my comments, and has never commented on my blog, so I doubt he's ever been to mine. Seems like a bit of a waste of good blogging to me. (on his part)

Someday we'll have to tell Madelyn that her movie debut was eclipsed by a discussion of lemon bars. I bet she'll be thrilled.
